We shear twice a year, once in April and again in October. This makes for strong wool with an average staple length of 3-6 inches. Each fleeces typically weighs between 3-5 lbs, and we have a variety of color in our flock. Perfect for handspinners, the Leicester's wool is easy to spin in the grease, or can be washed. Combed or carded both produce wonderful results. Please contact for current availability.
With a particularly nice lamb fleece, we'll often offer washed locks. These locks are extremely desirable for wig making, felting projects, or injecting tons of textured into woven goodies. We've seen so many creative uses for these gorgeous curls.
We often have a small inventory of sheepskins available. We get them tanned locally and keep the curly structure of the locks intact. These make excellent housewarming gifts, wedding and baby gifts, rugs, seat covers and perfect camping accessories.
